Rotary Dryers,

BENEFITS OF PARALLEL FLOW DRYERS
Versatility, energy efficiency, high production rates and low capital costs make Thermal Rotary Dryers the center of Tarmac’s drying systems.
WHAT DOES PARALLEL FLOW MEAN?
In a parallel flow dryer, the drying air flows in the same direction as the material. As you see, the material and hot air from the burner enter the dryer at the same end of the drum, as shown in the illustration above.
Parallel Flow Dryers have some great benefits:
1. If the output solids temperature requirement is below 212°F and the dryer needs a baghouse, a Parallel Flow Dryer is a must. They keep the output gas at 220°F. This eliminates water in the discharge, keeping the baghouse from getting muddy and failing.
2. Very fine materials and low weight materials move better through a Parallel Flow Dryer.
3. If there is high starting moisture content Tarmac Parallel Flow Dryers start with combustion flights to start the drying process so the solids can veil properly move through the dryer.
4. Parallel Flow Dryers are a good choice if high gas heat could impair or degrade the quality of the material to be dried, specifically hemp or coal products.
