11′ x 50′ Rotary Sand Drying System in Eastern Oklahoma.
Tarmac International, Inc. designed, built, and installed a state-of-the-art rotary sand drying system for a customer in Oklahoma. The customer was looking for a turn-key solution that included equipment, mechanical and electrical installation, as well as training.
Oklahoma was cold, wet, and windy when equipment and contractors arrived on site in the winter of 2018 for installation. With so much equipment, the team obviously had their hands full while they worked to coordinate everything from transportation and cranes to crews. However, Tarmac’s experienced installation team was able to overcome these challenges and complete the project on time and within budget.
The System
The system features a 300 tph rotary sand drying plant, with electrical MCC and PLC controls. It includes a Rotex screening system, 4000-ton truck loadout, and pneumatic fines return to a drive-through loadout silo.
The system has been operating successfully since its installation, and the customer is very pleased with the results. Additionally, Tarmac continues to help with periodic maintenance and our parts department is always just a phone call away. Tarmac is proud to have provided the customer with a turn-key solution that has allowed them to be one of the most successful frac sand producers in the state of Oklahoma.
