An Oregon contractor purchased and operated a small 5’ diameter Tarmac light and heavy oil soil remediation plant in the Northwest USA. After a few years of successful remediation, the contractor was able to obtain a portable air permit to operate the plant in the Los Angeles area.
The contractor operated the plant for a number of years before selling it to a new investment group. The new investment group spent resources to obtain a more stationary air permit within the Waste Management landfill in the Northern Los Angeles area.
Waste Management used the remediated soils for daily cover and other land improvements, and the plant continued to operate for over 20 years.
