Tarmac was consulted and contracted to help eliminate Avian Bird Flu virus by supplying thermal rotary drying equipment for the infected bird population in Northern Iowa. The contaminated expired chickens are thermally treated at a high temperature with the exhaust gases elevated to 1400° to 1500°F in an oxidizer to ensure reduced risk from the gas emissions from the plant.
