Our customer invested a great sum of money to develop a transshipping port in the Southern USA. There was a need to take a bulk product, salt, from other countries, offload the salt, and dry it to reduce moisture. Barges would then be reloaded with the dried salt taking it to the final destination.

Tarmac designed a rotary drying system using stainless steel to protect the equipment from corrosion. The system included a rotary dryer, ductwork, and air pollution control equipment. The project was a success. Now our customer not only dries salt but also other products at this facility. TI287
