Remediation,

Since the mid-1900s, Romania has been exploring, drilling, and extracting crude oil. Drill Cuttings are the waste created when drilling for oil. It is a combination of soil, rock, drill-lubricating mud, and crude oil. Authorities found drill cuttings in open lakes and some had been filled in with soil over the years. Romania issued remediation requests for quotations. Our client, an environmental contractor based in Romania, received the contract for remediation in Ploiesti, Romania.

The material was first run through a decanter which separated the oil/water from the solids. The solids were then run through the Tarmac Thermal Remediation plant for completion of the contract. The final product achieved remediation levels and the project was a success. TI168
