Tarmac was contacted by the environmental arm of a large Western European dredging company based in Belgium. They had won a contract to remediate an industrial property. A fire destroyed a chemical plant. Now the land was contaminated with hydrocarbons and rock-like hydrocarbon pellets. Tarmac won the contract to supply a Thermal Remediation Plant. It was installed at the contaminated industrial site in Antwerp, Belgium.
Ron and other Tarmac team members were on site to work on installation and commissioning. The heavy hydrocarbon Tarmac Thermal Remediation Plant successfully remediated the property. It was later moved to a stationary installation outside of Gent, Belgium.
