Tarmac International, Inc. recently refurbished, delivered, and commissioned a 4.5-foot diameter direct fired thermal soil remediation plant. The plant had been sitting idle for some time. Tarmac’s engineers and shop crews disassembled the plant completely, rewired it, and rebuilt any pieces that needed it. They also tested the plant thoroughly before shipping it to its new home in South America.
This unit is an on-site recycling system for use in remediating soil contaminated by hydrocarbons with boiling points up to 800º Fahrenheit (gasoline, jet fuel, diesel fuel, heating oil, crude oil, sludges, drilling muds, and high boiling point aromatics.) Contaminated soil is removed, cleaned, and returned directly to the excavation site.
The plant is currently cleaning up oil field waste.
